Discuss your natural stone & finishes project

Define the work before you commit

What to prepare for a quotation

Share photos, drawings, preferred materials and approximate quantities. Clarify whether the quotation covers supply, fabrication, installation, substrate preparation, sealing and disposal.

Local projects, coordinated with care

We welcome inquiries from Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale and Fayetteville and discuss other Northwest Arkansas locations individually. Tell us your project address so contractor travel, access and local requirements can be considered.

How NWA Market Builder helps

  1. Josh listens to your goals and helps develop the scope.
  2. We confirm contractor qualifications, insurance, availability and fit for the work.
  3. We coordinate quotations so you can review price, timing and responsibilities.
  4. The chosen contractor fulfills the agreed project under the written agreement.

Our partner standard requires current insurance and applicable licensing for the work being proposed. NWA earns revenue by marketing construction services and working with contractor partners. Relevant commercial relationships and any applicable charges are disclosed before commitment.

Can you give a firm quote from a photo?

Photos help us begin the conversation. Final pricing may require measurements, material selection and a contractor site assessment.

Prepare your stone and finishes brief

What should I share about my stone and finishes project?

Identify the surfaces, approximate dimensions, material preferences and any sinks, openings, corners or edges. Explain whether existing finishes must be removed.

What should the quotation explain?

Compare templating, material selection, fabrication, edge profiles, removal, installation and sealing. Ask how variations in the selected stone will be reviewed before fabrication.

Can I start without a final budget?

Yes. Share your priorities and a working range if you have one. Homeowners pay no introduction fee to NWA Market Builder; contractor and design services are quoted separately. A project price requires a defined scope and assessment of the site.

PLAN THE DETAILS

What a natural stone scope should include

Identify the material, finish, slab selection, measurement or templating, fabrication, cutouts, edge details, seams, support and installation. Ask who disconnects and reconnects plumbing or appliances and whether removal and disposal are included. Review care requirements and the differences between natural stone and engineered surfaces before ordering.

Timing: plan the stages before the start date

Separate selection and procurement from templating, fabrication and fitting. A countertop project generally requires a sequence across multiple visits rather than a same-day measure-and-install. Cabinets and supporting surfaces must be ready before final measurements; unusual materials, edge details and changes after templating can add weeks.

A local project brief to help you get started

Illustrative Rogers kitchen-countertop brief: compare material samples under the room’s lighting, confirm sink and appliance models, review seam and edge locations, and coordinate plumbing reconnection. Keep the cabinetry installation date aligned with final templating.

This is an illustrative planning example, not a claimed completed project. For published partner work, see the credited portfolio.

When should final countertop measurements be taken?

Ask the fabricator what must be installed and fixed in place before templating. Final cabinets, supports and confirmed sink or appliance details help avoid remakes. Do not assume an early room measurement is the fabrication template.
